With this kind of account, each time you rent equipment from us we will need to take the payment for the rental in advance and a deposit against the value of the equipment. The deposit has to be taken on a credit card issued in the name of the hirer as a pre-authorisation, similar to a hotel booking or car rental deposit. The amount of the deposit is dependent on the items that you are hiring so this will be notified to you by a member of our rental desk team at the time of your booking.
In order to set up a cash account, you will need to complete the Cash account application form below and then visit us at our London or Manchester branch in order that we can validate your identity. This will need to be completed prior to the rental starting. You will need to bring with you the following documentation:
One form of photo ID (driving licence or passport)
Two utility bills from different suppliers detailing your address and these must be in the name of the hirer and dated within the last 3 months
A valid credit card to cover the deposit (This must be in the name of the hirer)
Please note: A cash account can only be set up by the cardholder paying for both the deposit and the rental. It is not possible to rent equipment on a cash account without a valid credit card in the cardholder’s name. We may also need to take a picture of the hirer in order that this can be provided to the authorities if required.
