Melody Peacock

I am a Freelance Photographer and Visual Artist based in Manchester and the North-West of England.
My personal artistic-photographic practice focuses on gender politics, the LGBTQ+ identity, the absurd and bringing play into adult life, through creating digital, video and sculptural installations and image making.
I create commercial, editorial and promotional images and video content for individuals and brands, within the music and fashion industry. As well as making promotional images with musicians, my photographic practice also encompasses gig photography and videography. I have a vast understanding of post production in photography and studio lighting, as well as having a good understanding of Capture and Phase One.
I have an expanded art practice, with a keen interest in questioning the role of exhibitions, especially events for the LGBTQ+ community, and how to make art more accessible for a wider audience. I have put on highly attended exhibitions within the Manchester Area, which envelop live performances (like poetry and live music) with fine art.
I am very proud to have graduated from the Manchester Metropolitan University with a First Class Honours degree and recognised with the SODA award for 'innovative future storytelling in Photography'
