Building upon the successful architecture of its predecessor, the V-RAPTOR 8K VV, this new camera offers an exciting new shooting format while capitalizing on the enhancements in color science and performance from its larger 8K VV counterpart.
Designed with a specialized 8K sensor optimized for Super35mm lenses, the V-RAPTOR 8K S35 provides filmmakers with a unique advantage. It allows them to explore the vast range of Super35mm lenses while retaining the captivating true-to-life detail provided by 8K resolution. This camera empowers creators to capture stunning slow-motion footage at 120 fps with the full 8K Super35mm field of view or go up to an impressive 600 fps at 2K resolution. Additionally, boasting over 16.5 stops of dynamic range, the V-RAPTOR 8K S35 excels at producing breathtaking imagery in any environment.
Furthermore, the V-RAPTOR 8K S35 continues to support RED's proprietary REDCODE® RAW codec, enabling users to shoot in 16-bit RAW and leverage RED's latest IPP2 workflow and color management capabilities.
The compact and lightweight V-RAPTOR camera body (weighing just over 4 lbs) houses the same powerful performance as its VV counterpart, making it a reliable and versatile tool for filmmakers. It comes equipped with two 4K 12G-SDI outputs, XLR audio with phantom power through the breakout adapter, and the ability to livestream in 1080p.
